The school have been started on the invitation of the Bokaro Steel plant Authorities. The school aims at providing liberal education and developing all-round personality of the child so as to enable him or her to achieve excellence in all walks of life; academics and cultural. This is done under the guidance of highly qualified and dedicated teaching staff, who lends helping hands to students to: Cultivate the art of public speaking, acquire manners and etiquettes as demanded of them in a civilized society & instil in them social awareness of problems setting over the country and the right approach to overcome them.
DAV school, Sector 4, Bokaro steel city was started by DAV CMC at the insistence of the Arya Samaj of Bokaro steel city in 1973, with the magnanimous assistance of the Bokaro steel limited. The school is managed by D.A.V college managing committee, New Delhi, through the regional Director, DAV Public School, head Quartered at Dhanbad, Koylanagar.
DAV schools are following the course and syllabus of 10+2 pattern of the Central Board of secondary Education(CBSE), New Delhi. We run classes from K.G. to XII standard. It has 11th and 12th classes have all 3 Streams in Science, Commerce and Arts. Our medium of Instruction is English. Our class X students prepare for All India senior secondary examination whereas class XII students prepare for All India Senior school certificate Examination.
